The EU will finally free Windows users from Bing

Windows 11 users in the EEA will have the ability to disable Bing web search, remove Microsoft Edge, and add custom web search providers.

These changes are in compliance with the European Commission's Digital Markets Act, which requires interoperability and competition rules.

Only Windows 11 users in the EEA will be able to fully remove Microsoft Edge and Bing-powered web search from Windows Search. [ more ]
